Congratulations on your pregnancy and impending birth of your baby!

This is an exciting time for sure, and there is so much to think about (I get it). One of the most fun things you get to do while pregnant is starting your baby registry, but even this can be a daunting task if you don’t know where to start.

There are SO many different items to choose from for every little aspect of raising a child. What makes for a good car seat? What about the right high chair? I went through all of the same questions you are having right now too.

It can be overwhelming, but relax mama.

Let’s start with the top 10 baby items you can add to your registry. Let these be the foundation of starting your registry. Once you get the list started, it gets easier to add as you come across things you like!

First things first. If you haven’t already, I would sign up for the Amazon Baby Registry.

amazon baby registry

This is the most popular and easiest registry to use. The greater majority of people today have Amazon Prime, and most of us do a lot of our shopping online. Especially now that Baby’s R’ Us stores have closed (sad face). Amazon Baby Registry is where it’s at! Pretty much anything you could think of is available here.

You get 10% completion discount or 15% for Prime members.

Meaning, if you don’t get everything on your list- after the due date, you can buy the rest of your items at a 10% or 15% discount respectively.

There is a free 90-day return policy for Baby Store purchases.

Using this registry is a no-brainer. Once you are signed up, let the adding begin!

  1. Chicco NextFit Convertible Car Seat
  2. Graco DuoDiner 3-in-1 High Chair
  3. Spectra S1 Hospital Grade Breast Pump
  4. Graco Pack ‘n Play
  5. Summer Infant Baby Pixel 5.0 Inch Touchscreen Color Video Monitor
  6. Summer Infant 2-Sided Contour Changing Pad
  7. Chicco LullaGo Deluxe Portable Bassinet
  8. Chicco Bravo Trio Travel System
  9. The First Years Sure Comfort Deluxe Newborn to Toddler Tub
  10. Gerber Unisex Long-Sleeve Mitten Cuff Onesies

This list is short and simple. It is to the point to help you build the foundation of your registry.

Each of these items are my absolute favorites.

You may have noticed two car seats on this list.

That is because the Chicco Travel system has an infant car seat and carrier that is compatible with the stroller. The stroller can also be used without the infant carrier after your baby outgrows it.

Once my baby was too big to be carried in the infant carrier I switched to the Chicco NextFit Convertible car seat. Thus why I listed both of them.

That may work for you, or you may opt to just go right into using the NextFit car seat. It accommodates newborns, but it is not an infant carrier. Meaning, it stays in the car. Newborns sleep, a lot. You may really want the carrier style at first so you aren’t needing to disturb a sleeping baby (just a thought).

All of these items are true staples to your registry.

I wanted to give you a concise list of the products I use the most. The most important baby items you will need. Obviously there is MUCH more that will be added to your registry, but this is where you can start!

So if you haven’t already- start your Amazon Baby Registry right now. It’s so simple to do, and don’t forget you get a discount of 10-15% when you go to complete your registry.

Congratulations, mama!
